Jack Savage | Chairman of the Board

Jack Savage, founder and Chairman of Renuva Energy, Inc. was also the founder of Oil Tech, Inc., a company Savage established, transcended into a working organization and then sold to a prominent energy company headquartered in Australia. Jack assumed the position of Chairman, CEO and President of Oil Tech, Inc. in February 2000. The proprietary technology of Oil Tech, Inc. is the forerunner to both the patented and patent pending technology of Renuva Energy. Prior to that, Savage served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and General Manager of Yonex USA, a manufacturer and marketer of golf and tennis products, Vice President of Browning Fire Arms and General Manager of Browning’s golf division and Vice President of marketing and sales of the Arnold Palmer Golf Company and Pro Group, Inc.

 

In addition to his management skills, Mr. Savage has a proven record in strategic planning and execution, budget/sales forecasting, budget management, advertising, promotion and public relations. Mr. Savage has substantial international experience having successfully conducted business in Japan, Korea and Europe.

 

Jack’s greatest talent and asset is his ability to surround himself with great people; people he deems to be smarter and more creative than himself. Regardless of a company’s product or service, Savage believes in his managerial philosophy that only people within can make a company succeed to its potential. Savage is confident that the assembled Renuva Energy team of professionals is made up of the most experienced, successful, intelligent and generally capable managers he has ever been associated with.

Stephen Savage | Board Member

Steve brings 15 years of management, operations, and sales experience in the marketing technology industry. In 2010 he and his business partner started their first company, LeadAmp, Inc., with a $30,000 SBA line of credit and an idea. Within six months, the company was in the black making a steady profit. The company quickly grew to 15 employees and boasted an impressive client list including companies such as Nationwide Insurance, State Farm Insurance, and American Family Insurance. The company was acquired in August 2014. While running the company, Steve has worn many hats including overseeing all sales and operations. 


Earlier in his career, Steve built a direct-response marketing and lead generation department from the ground up at a regional advertising agency. In doing so, he implemented all forms of direct-response marketing as services offered to the agency’s client base including direct mail, interactive, search engine marketing, email, DRTV, print, radio, etc. In two and half years, he generated $4MM in revenue to this company. To build a new lead generation division, Steve oversaw the development of a custom-built marketing technology software system. 


Steve managed many multi-billion dollar clients as a group account director while working at Datamark, Inc. His client list included Corinthian Colleges, Insphere Insurance Solutions, University of Pennsylvania, Career Education Corporation, Concorde Career College, YTI, Career Step, and others. In the past 15+ years, Steve has led teams that generated more than $50 million in revenue. Steve holds a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University in communication and a master’s degree from the University of Montana in business administration.

Jared Poulson | Board Member

Jared Poulson joined payment processing company iTransact in the basement in 1999 and was responsible for raising early venture funding, business development, finance, and managing the company as CFO through three mergers. iTransact was acquired by Payroc in the Fall of 2016 and Jared currently serves as their Chief Integrations Officer and board member while also serving as co-chair of the Technology Council for the Electronic Transaction Association. 


Previous to iTransact/Payroc, Jared was a series 7/63 licensed stock trader for Fidelity Investments and graduated with honors from BYU in Business Finance from Brigham Young University in 1999.

Lloyd Swain | Product Design & Manufacturing Consultant

Lloyd is an accomplished engineer and inventor. At an early age he learned the ins and outs of coal mining at a mine outside Vernal, Utah. His career includes working on an oil rig, running his own commercial and residential construction business, building custom furniture, working as a carpenter, and running his own cabinet shop. He is the author of the original patented technology.


Lloyd has spent years in the oilfield construction industry, designing, building and repairing all types of complicated equipment. Lloyd is also an accomplished welder where he worked on the oil pipelines in eastern Utah. He has extensive experience working with phosphate, gilsonite, gold mining, tar sands, oil shale, coal, and even saw mills. During his career he has excelled at rebuilding, designing and building equipment. 


In addition to his vast knowledge acquired during work experience, Lloyd has also filed and received a patent for developing more environmentally friendly refinements for coal and coal by-products. He also did all the work and design of another patent that economically produced oil from oil shale. Through college coursework, he is efficient in CAD drafting and other design programs.

Dr. Jaynee Poulson | VP Public Relations

Dr. Poulson specializes in bringing the right ideas to the right entities and will be connecting Renuva Energy with professional, legal and political organizations within the energy industry.  Jaynee is the CEO of The Give Back Program, working with organizations to produce recurring, sustainable income. She is an Authentic Strengths Advantage® coach, Master Fundraiser, adjunct professor at Weber State University and mentor to the women at the Utah State Prison. She has helped pass legislation as the State Health Commissioner of the Utah PTA, is a TedX speaker, has an Executive Leadership certificate from Cornell University and is a community activist, consultant, and contributing author.
