Coal-fired power plants in the United States have a significant history the economic structure and in the heating and power production of this country. In the past, nearly one hundred percent of electric power was produced from such plants. The industry produced tens of thousands of jobs, including those created within industries closely associated with the coal industry.

As the climate change continues to escalate, electrical power from the old coal-fired plants has dwindled to approximately 60% of our nations power output. Other sources of power are steadily replacing coal as a primary power source. Thus we are stuck between negatively impacting the environment or negatively impact the economy from loss of jobs and subsequent increase in the cost of power for families.

In other countries, coal continues to be the primary source of power and heat. China and other Asian countries in particular utilize coal as their primary source of power. However, the well-known images of Chinese citizens wearing masks as a protection from toxic air strengthens the case for cleaner energy technologies that can have a more immediate improvement on air quality index.

Coal is plentiful and the infrastructure around coal energy will persist in the world for decades to come.   Our goal at Renuva Energy is to make an immediate positive impact NOW on the environment by providing a cleaner solution within our existing energy infrastructure while at the same time reducing a countries dependence on foreign oil imports.
