Salt Lake City, UT—Salt Lake City based CoalTech, Inc. (CTI) has strategically added Balrai Singh and Mike Rhodes as senior board advisors to its coal-cleaning, oil-producing company.
“Adding Balrai and Mike as senior board advisors allows us to pursue more global opportunities, taking our technology to countries and geographical areas where we can positively impact the environment and help the citizens of those countries have more access to economy-enhancing products such as propane, butane, ethane and oil,” says Steve Savage, CTI president. “Balrai and Mike bring with them vast numbers of political and influential contacts, who will enable us to have the global impact we envision for CTI.”
Singh originally started his career in Brunei Darussalam and currently works from Singapore. He has 30 years of experience in this region and also in many other countries internationally. He has advised several family offices including Sovereign Wealth Funds in the area of mergers and acquisitions, in oil and gas technologies, as well as medical devices, communication, artificial intelligence, cyber security and real estate among others.
Rhodes previously founded and ran Professional Benefits Services, working with corporate and municipal clients in the western United States of America. He helped found the first L3C affordable housing fund in Ogden Utah, and he currently serves on the Utah District Export Council helping Utah companies expand globally. Rhodes serves on several educational and nonprofit boards including the Stella H Oaks Foundation.
